RND - Nice2Know: "BRK Blindenreport"
About 3 weeks ago, we've had the wonderful opportunity of chatting with some charitable people in Passau¹.
As a follow-up of this discussion, we were invited into one of their next events: reading news for blind people.
Living a happy, lighthearted life, the idea of such a concept really supprised us and we were curiuous how such a service was organized.
It turns out, there is a small organization within the BRK comprised of several teams, that creates monthly mp3-files covering the current (local) news from Passau to Bad Kötzting and Eggenfelden.
The news are taken from ca. 10 different "newspaper regions" / editions, cut down to the main parts and vocalized (in german).
